Update #2

Posted evening of Wednesday April 26th

Tuesday April 25
A super day in the Texas Hill country. We met Tony G at 6:30 am and birded with him until 4 pm. The we birded on our own until 9 pm. The highlights were numerous. Black-capped Vireo, Golden-cheeked Warbler, Crested Caracara, Zone-tailed Hawk, six species of vireo, millons of bats, Swainson's Hawks, Mississippi Kites, Painted Buntings, etc, etc, etc.
A memorable day.
Spending the night at Neal's in Concan

Wednesday April 26th
We spent the morning birding Neal's Vacation Lodges where we spent the night. We gave the Rufous-capped Warbler a shot but since it had not been seen since the 18th, we had low expections. Our expectations were met. Today was another day it was not seen. After leaving Neal's around 11 am we birded the Uvalde Fish Hatchery and then headed to Del Rio. In Del Rio we birded the loal duck ponds. We picked up species all during the day and were pleasantly surprised to find we had 110 species for the day.
