Sunday
We drove from Brandon to the Melita this morning. We spent the rst of the day birding Broomhill WMA, Coulter Park and the grasslands south and east of Melita. We spent time this morning chasing a Baird's Sparrow around a field until we all got satisfactory looks. Taking advantage of our location we took a side trip into Saskatchewan. One of the highlights of the day was a Ferruginous Hawk nest with both adults in the area. After the last two nights of seeking a Yellow Rail we are all looking forward to a nice quiet evening and a good nights sleep.
Tomorrow we head north to
Riding Mountain National Park.
