A day of a big miss, lots of driving, and a big find.

We spent three hours this morning looking for Chukar. We were in the right place and unfortunately we could not come up with even one.

Then we drove from the Grand Junction area up to Steamboat Springs. A pretty good haul. As we approached Steamboat Springs we decided to check the area of a Sharp-tailed Grouse lek. Bob came up huge and spotted one of the grouse sitting right by the roadside. We eventually found 7 of them there. That takes the pressure off tomorrow morning.
