"On The Road" #2 Posted April 8, 2008 From Gunnison, Colorado

Our first major stop this morning was up on Loveland Pass. Unfortunately we did not find a White-tailed Ptarmigan. We have another chance later in the trip.

Dispite of that miss, we had a wonderful day of birding. We stopped at a feeding set up and had another massive amount of Rosy-Finches. Barrow's Goldeneye, Swainsons Hawk, Clark's Grebe , Pine Grosbeak, Red-napped Sapsucker were among the other highlight of the day.

We are now in Gunnison ready to see Gunnison Sage Grouse display in the morning.
