We would have liked to have topped the experiences of the past couple of days but that would be almost impossible. Instead we had a good solid day of birding in two major habitats.

We started the day in the Salton Sea area where we stayed until noon. Then we moved west to the mountains near San Diego. It was quite a contrast in birds and habitat. We did manage to add several birds to our trip list (Wild Turkey, Pygmy Nuthatch, etc.)

We are staying tonight in Pine Valley.
