Report 9

We spent the day in the Sierra Nevadas. The scenery was spectacular but the birds were few. It is October and most of the breeding birds have left and the resident birds were quite quiet. We missed most of our target species but it was still a wonderful day of birding in wonderful habitat.

Tomorrow morning we are going to check a marsh at dawn and then pack up and head for home.
