After birding around Bodega Bay to start the day we headed to Tomalas State Park. Our "traditional" Spotted Owl spot did not come through but we had a nice walk there anyway. We then headed to Point Reyes. It was somewhat foggy but we had a great time exploring the area. On the way to Placerville we stopped by a park in Petaluma for looks at shorebirds. We did not get to our motel until 7:30 pm but fortunately there was a Mexican resurant right beside the motel.
