(Lunch in Del Puerto Canyon)
We spent the day visiting many different habitats. We started the day in the mountain canyon habitats of Mines Road and Del Puerto Canyon. We then moved to San Luis Reservoir Recreation Area. Then it was on to the coast and Moss Landing, Moon Glow Dairy, and Elkhorn Slough. We had 97 species for the day.
During our lunch in Del Puerto Canyon we met a couple of motorcyclists. They pointed out a tarantula that was out in the open. Pretty neat! They also took the above picture of the four of us.
