(Checking out the Barn Owl)
Up and out early this morning to head to Sacramento NWR. Last trip to California Sacramento NWR was full of birds and this year was no different. Lots of waterfowl and pheasants. A wonderful experience!
The rest of the day was spent in the Yolo Farmlands, Yolo Grasslands Regional Park, Tremont Cemetary, and Cosumnes River Reserve. By consensus the bird of the day was a Barn Owl found roosting in a tree by Connie. Other memorable things were two flocks of Long-billed Curlews, a dark phase Swainson's Hawk, Burrowing Owls and three River Otters.
Ended the day in Livermore California.
